Team player Thomas makes his mark as Kestrels first sales apprentice.

Kestrel’s first business development apprentice is hoping for plenty of conversions after joining the sales team.

Former under-18s Dragons rugby player, Thomas Holley, is covering South Wales and the Midlands for the UPVC fascia and cladding manufacturer.

Thomas has had part time jobs in construction since he was 15, which he balanced with a degree in Sports and Exercise.

“With my experience in construction and the ability to study for a Level 4 qualification while working, joining Kestrel was a great opportunity,” Tom said.

“The team have wasted no time introducing me to customers and I have been out on the road for a couple of weeks meeting customers across the Midlands and South Wales. We have a good customer base in the region and there are also lots of opportunities.”

Outside of work, Thomas is a keen sports enthusiast, with a list of hobbies including snowboarding on a dry slope near his Abergavenny home, plays rugby and golf.

Kestrel sales and marketing director Owen Thorogood explained that Thomas’ appointment was a first for Kestrel. “While we have a strong history of successful apprenticeships across other parts of the business, this is the first time that we have extended that into the business development team,” he said.

“Tom is settling in well to the team and already charting the course for more apprenticeships in the team, as we look to bring in new talent.”
