FH Tool Show raises the roof

The annual event, organised by Frank Howard Tools and Fixings, saw more than 40 of the company’s suppliers set up stall for two days at Chelmsford City Race Course.

Hundreds of visitors, including installers, builders and other tradespeople, attended the Essex event, making it the most successful to date.

Kestrel, which supplies a wide range of uPVC roofline, window line and cladding products, said that the event was the best ever.

Kestrel business development manager for the south Steve Bowden said: “This is a show that gets better every year. The team at Frank Howard Tools and Fixings put together an event that attracted around 40 manufacturers and the venue was exceptional.

“For Kestrel, it’s an ideal opportunity for us to showcase our brand and products to a wide range of construction companies and tradespeople.”

Steve added that the variety of products on display and demonstrations taking place delivered real value to visitors.

“There was a great deal of interest in Kestrel products,” he said. “The variety of colours available seemed to stand out to visitors and our textured Kavex range generated a real buzz of interest.”

Frank Howard Tools and Fixings, a large independent stockist formed in 1988, has branches in Braintree and Chelmsford in Essex and Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire.

Along with tools, the company stocks a range of roofline products from Kestrel for its trade customers.

Frank Howard Tools and Fixings sales manager Ryan Williams said: “The support of our suppliers has always been an important part of this show’s success.

“Each year customers comment on how much effort everyone puts in, and they really appreciate being able to see new products and ideas that they can use in their day-to-day practices.

“The interest in Kestrel products was a real highlight, with a lot of customers returning after the event to buy products from the range, especially the uPVC Kavex textured cladding, as it offers a different avenue to the cement-based boards currently available.

“With the attendance figures for the two-day event well into the thousands, we can only see this event becoming even bigger and better in future years.”
